Jackie Neil

Jackie Neil – Mother and Mental Health Advocate Jackie has over 21 years of experience as a caregiver for a loved one with serious mental health challenges. Her journey has involved providing support during crises and recovery, navigating stigma, accessing services, and the daily challenges encountered by many families. This journey has instilled in her qualities of resilience, patience, advocacy, and hope. Jackie's motivation to become a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor is to empower those who want to help but may lack the confidence, knowledge, and language to respond effectively. She is dedicated to fostering communities that respond with compassion rather than fear. Her approach to MHFA training is shaped by her personal experiences, emphasizing authenticity, empathy, and practical insights within a safe learning environment where participants can ask questions, challenge stigma, and build confidence in supporting others. In addition to MHFA certification, Jackie holds a Certificate in Health Records Management, a master's degree in Public Administration, and an iLM Certificate in Leadership and Management.
